Welcome to St Winefride's Catholic Primary School
OUR VISION
All young people and their families are invited to be part of our wonderful school community. St. Winefride's is an inspirational and inclusive school where we all love to work, learn and grow in all aspects of school life whilst following in the footsteps of Jesus. We strive to nurture the gifts and talents of all learners and provide the highest quality of education within a warm, welcoming and supportive Catholic ethos; encouraging all children to reach their full potential.
Through creating a stimulating learning experience and promoting positive mindset and an aspiration for achievement and excellence, our children will become confident, independant and resilient. They will develop essential skills alongside essential knowledge to equip them to grow and thrive in an ever-changing world.
St. Winefride's is a safe place where all learners and stakeholders are happy, safe, secure and challenged in a environment where the Gospel values are at the centre of everything that we do.Our Core values of 'Excellence, Respect, Happiness, resilience, Compassion and Faith' are lived out within our school and wider communitywhere we come together, daily, to 'Learn, Laugh, Listen, Live and Love' in the presence of Jesus.
Situated in Little Neston, just outside the historic market town of Neston, we are proud to provide education for children from four to eleven years old.
At St. Winefride's, we hold Christian values at the very heart of our school ethos and pride ourselves on our family atmosphere and nurturing environment. We strive to discover the unique gifts and talents of each child in our care, providing rich opportunities for growth and development academically, socially and spiritually. We cherish every one of our children and, through the excellent education we provide for all of our young people, we aim for every child to reach their full potential and be inspired with a love of life and learning.
In Reception, we encourage and nurture the potential of each individual and this approach continues throughout the school to Year Six. By the time our pupils leave, they have engaged in a wealth of learning experiences; they are equipped to face new challenges; and we hope that they have developed skills and values that will last them a lifetime. Our intent is to support our children to become excellent at communicating whether this be through reading, writing, speaking and listening and the arts.
Our school is a caring community where all pupils are taught to be respectful, kind and considerate. Honesty and openess are expected, as is a good work ethic, perseverance and resilience.
Our children are proud to be pupils at St. Winefride’s and this is reflected in high standards of work, behaviour and appearance. Our teaching and support staff are committed and talented professionals who continue to strive for the best for all of our pupils. Together with our parents, we collectively ensure that St. Winefride’s is a happy, hard-working and inclusive learning community.
Here, on our website, are just a few of the wonderful things that you will encounter as you enter our school community.
